New Year, More Tea.

“A cup of tea would restore my normality.” -Douglas Adams

Greetings dear readers! I hope you all enjoyed the New Year holidays in your own way. Though some people may say they dislike things like New Year resolutions and the whole “new year, new you” philosophy, it is undeniable that the beginning of a new year heralds in feelings of hope and a desire to improve in different ways. For me, health is going to be a focus this year. Which brings me to the tea in point: Rosehip.

Solitude And Peace

“The monotony and solitude of a quiet life stimulates the creative mind.” – Albert Einstein

Greetings my dear readers! Tis the season to come together and yet here I am, ruminating about solitude. You see, as an introvert I cannot possibly stress the importance of solitude enough. Some might think it is exaggerated and roll their eyes, but truly, the lack of it might drive an introvert crazy.

We must understand that there is a huge difference between solitude and loneliness. Just because people choose to enjoy their solitude and peace from time to time, does not mean they are loners. Any person, even an extrovert, needs that time alone whether it is to introspect or just take a break from the hustle and bustle of life. Especially when you take off into the creative lane in life, solitude is gold. A disturbed mind cannot possibly create; when the mind is preoccupied, how can the imagination soar?

Soulshine

“Always remember that, nine times out of ten, you probably aren’t having a full-on nervous breakdown ⏤ you just need a cup of tea and a biscuit.”

Greetings my dear readers. This post might not be all sunshine and rainbows, but it’s okay to give the sun a break sometimes. You see, we always try to have a rosy outlook on life, and everything is golden; but sometimes it’s hard to keep that up. That is the truth of life. That in the course of living we run through many emotions. Sometimes, it’s better to let those emotions take their time. Instead of constantly trying to change some emotions, constantly trying to make them better, sometimes we should just let them be. And once they’ve run their course, we can get our soulshine back too.

Beau∙tea

“Tea is quiet and our thirst for tea is never far from our craving for beauty” – James Norwood Pratt

I am in love with beauty. I love to look for it in the little things and big things, I love admiring it, and I love its many forms. Often, when I am out and about in public and I am idle, I like to observe people and admire their best features. To many, “beauty” might mean an unrealistic standard. But to me it means the sparkle in someone’s eyes, the crooked teeth in a genuine smile, or messy hair at the end of a long day.

The ability to find and appreciate beauty is easy. All you need to do is look around and you’ll find beauty everywhere. Look for it in the little things like the slant of sunrays through the windows, or bigger things like the sunrise or sunset itself. More often than not, you will find that simpler things hold more beauty rather than something extravagant.

Traditions and Tea

People are their best selves when they stay true to their roots, just as tea tastes best when produced and brewed in the traditional way.

It is a shame to see how long it takes people to be comfortable in their own skins. When you think about it, shouldn’t it come naturally? However the world has become a place in which one must learn to be themselves. Similarly, younger generations tend to want to break away from their traditions so desperately these days, when in truth, the beauty in a human lies in what they can teach us of themselves.

A Dream

Dreams are like tea. Spend time working on them like you do on making a good cup of tea, and see them come to life.

Greetings fellow teatotalers,

T of Tinklingteacups is back, and back with full force. I apologise for the long absence, I did not intend it to be quite so prolonged. But as things in life go, one thing led to another and college, research, finals and other things of such sort consumed me. In the time I spent working hard to get my degree, I realised that even though certain things gave me a sense of accomplishment, I was unhappy. Yes, education is important, but when it becomes the focus of your life to the point that it dominates everything and you cannot live your dreams, then is it really worth it? Continue reading

Tea Break

A good cup of tea after a long day tastes undeniably better than the regular cup of tea.

Greetings my lovelies!

It has been a while since I have posted anything, and I apologise for the absence, especially since many new readers have just joined the tea party. This absence is not voluntary and definitely not something I like. However, it is necessary. And so, I am announcing a short hiatus here on tinklingteacups which will end soon. Fear not, I shall be back with a lot of enjoyable posts and many many new teas to talk about with you all.

Until then, my dear readers, I hope you will enjoy going through what is already here on tinklingteacups. Au revoir!
All the love, T.

What Would You Like For Tea?

There is nothing like tea to fuel the brain!

Greetings dear reader. I missed a post last week, but I am back with great new content and armed with knowledge gained from the BloggingU course  Blogging 201. I’m excited for some new things I plan on introducing, and the recent new readers I have gained. I hope I am able to provide an experience that everyone enjoys.

I am experimenting with a new feature called Tea-things Thursdays which will be a weekly post on a separate page. I’m going to be including a survey here, so that you may choose exactly what this feature will be. I have a few ideas but I cannot decide on one; so I decided that you should choose. Continue reading

Ethereal Tea

It is easy to lose myself in a magic that is otherworldly, for this world holds no charm compared to that of my mind.

Ever since I was a little child, I have always lived with half of me in this world and the other half lost in my thoughts. Imagination was my biggest friend and the worlds I conjured up were always better than anything this world could be. As I was setting up to click pictures for this post, those feeling of wonder that surrounded my childhood came rushing back to me. As we grow up, we forget to keep that awe and fascination alive inside of us, we lose the sense of wonderment that gives magic to life. Continue reading

A Quick Little Update

Every cup of tea is an amazing, imaginary, heavenly journey!

Hello dear reader. I had a nice little post planned for today since I’m trying to post regularly every week. But sadness related things happened (college coursework) and I am here instead with a little update that I had promised some weeks ago.
